Installations and panels, fully to regulation

A villa with air conditioning throughout, a fitted kitchen and home automation needs a properly sized installation. When the wiring has fallen short or is showing its age, the usual step is to renew the main panel, review the protective devices (RCDs and circuit breakers), tidy the circuits and check the earthing, so every zone runs without trips or risk.

We work to Spain’s low-voltage regulation (REBT) and, where applicable, issue the electrical certificate (CIE) as authorised installers. The aim is twofold: an installation that is safe and one that is in order — something the supply company, a renovation or a buyer will ask for sooner or later if you ever sell.

The electrical certificate (CIE), explained

This is the question we get most, and it is worth clearing up. The CIE (Certificado de Instalación Eléctrica), often called the boletín, is issued by an authorised installer and proves to the authorities and the supply company that the installation meets the REBT. It is typically needed in three situations: a new supply, an increase in contracted power and a substantial alteration of the installation. A simple change of account holder, however, does not require one if the technical conditions — such as the power — and the tariff stay the same (Royal Decree 88/2026, art. 39.6). Nor is one needed to register a tourist rental in Andalucía, although the rules do require sockets in every room and a light next to the bed: we cover it for holiday rental owners.

It should not be confused with the energy performance certificate, which rates the home’s energy use and is required to sell or rent: they are separate documents. If you are in the process of buying a villa, we will help you work out which one you need and leave the installation ready.

Lighting that shows the house at its best

Light is what makes a good house look like a great one. We plan lighting in layers — general, task and ambient — so every room works by day and looks its best by night, indoors and out. Outdoors we pay particular attention to the garden and the façade, where well-resolved lighting completely changes how the villa feels after dark.

Home automation is only worth it if you actually use it. So we start from how the house is lived in, not from the catalogue: we bring lighting, climate, blinds, irrigation and security into one clear control, from your phone or a panel, without making daily life complicated. We leave the installation ready to grow, so you can add functions later without redoing the work.

New loads without tripping the panel

More and more villas are adding heat pumps, air conditioning or induction cooking. Before adding loads we review the circuit, the protective devices and the available power and, where needed, reorganise the circuits so the panel does not trip when they coincide: adding loads without reviewing the installation is the most common cause of trips and faults.
